Learning Objectives

Using a real–world lead optimisation (LO) project example, participants will learn how to:

  • Avoid the pitfalls of “market–driven” TPPs
  • Develop strategic options for possible market positioning and development strategies
  • Derive inputs into the targeted LO and PC compound profiles
  • Set milestones for continuing or abandoning the preferred options
  • Get a firm grasp of the competitive dynamics and market situation of each option
  • Understand the specific risk profile inherent in each option
  • Portfolio managers will gain hands on experience in the effective use of real–life processes, methods and tools for future use
  • Participants will learn how to balance the different perspectives of project teams, decision makers and portfolio managers
